I have known Johnny Lewis since first buying strings in his store as a child, just as all the kids knew him. An icon of our community his music is known to all in the Puget Sound region. His then small music shop re-strung and tuned a mandolin for my grandmother, to give as my 10th birthday present. This is something for which I am still grateful, 37 years later. Having his world class jazz in town has been a treat, and something which I would now like to share with you.
